Weather

We have been informed by everyone back home that it has been well below zero there lateley - bummer. The funny thing is that it has been over 100 degrees warmer here! Hard to believe, isn't it. However, just like home, the weather in Melbourne can change drastically at any given time. For instance, yesterday it was 38 degrees Celsius (100), and today it was 17 degrees Celsius (63).

Riley...I'm so excited to hear that you're going to school again. We really, really love reading about all that you are doing. Can your mom take any pictures inside of your classroom after you've begun?

Yes Mrs. Haugh, we will ask my teacher if we can get some pictures - what a good idea. I'll take some pictures of the buildings too. My mom will ask about pen pals if you still want to do that too.

It's supposed to be around 30 degrees here today ... HEAT WAVE! I was just outside with all the 4-legged fur balls and it was really nice. I think some of the snow (the little bit we have) will melt in these next few days. Bummer!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'd love some snow right now. I'm actually tired of the weather being over 90! I mostly feel sorry for the kids having to go to school!

Yes Sherry, save us some snow. Believe it or not, we miss that stuff, and we're really bumming that we missed the snow days! However, the kids played hookie today to hang out with Dad!!

That's funny ... NOT! Dad should be here shoveling. Does he realize that mom has been snowed in for over a week now? Tell him that he shouldn't even bother coming home, he won't be able to get in the house yet! Dad, we'll keep you posted and let you know when the snow melts and the coast is clear!
